Bio

Garth Prentice is a singer songwriter, vocalist, guitarist and educator from Goulburn Australia. He is a powerful performer, guitarist and vocalist and gives a soul-full flare to his country roots. Raised in Tamworth his songs have a distinct country feel, spending many years in Newcastle has developed a powerful hybrid of country and blues styles. For more than 10 years Garth has performed in pub band shows playing varieties of styles including pop, blues, rock, country and funk. His solo acoustic set is filled with the variety of a human juke box and caters to all ages. 

His debut album "Welcome to G-Town" is available on through streaming services and has been releasing new music throughout 2023.
Garth is a music educator, having taught guitar and running mentorship programs for almost as long as he has been performing on stage. As "Head of Contemporary Music" at the Hume Conservatorium his passion for the development of the music industry takes a "cradle to grave" approach. The programs have yielded and fostered much of the youth talent in the Goulburn Area.

He has released albums with "The Mike Baker Organ Trio" and "Charlotte Lock" through 2023 and was the 2024 Artist in residency for Southern Tablelands Arts and The Crisp Galleries. His Up and coming blues album will feature a host of talented musicians from the Hume Region in NSW.
